How to use Todoist integration
With our Todoist integration feature, you can easily import your tasks from Todoist into the Pomofocus app. Here are five key features and how you can use them:

1. How to Import Todoist Tasks

To import your Todoist tasks into the Pomofocus app, simply click the "Import from Todoist" button in the task section. If you've already connected your Todoist account, your tasks will appear automatically. If you haven't connected yet, you'll be directed to an authentication page.
In the task window, you can select the tasks you want to import and then click "Import" to bring them into the Pomofocus app.

2. Check & Uncheck Syncs with Todoist

When you import tasks from Todoist into the Pomofocus app, the task state will be automatically synced between the two platforms. This means that if you check a task in Pomofocus, it will also be checked in Todoist and if you uncheck it in Pomofocus, it will also be unchecked in Todoist.

3. Set Estimated Pomodoros in Todoist

You can set the estimated number of Pomodoros for a task in Todoist by adding a number at the end of the task title. The format is not strict, but the following examples in the image works.

4. Set Due Date for Better Sorting

You can set a due date for tasks in Todoist. This due date will be used to sort the tasks when you view them in the Pomofocus app.

5. Write Notes in the Desciprion

The description of tasks in Todoist will be imported as notes in the Pomofocus app.

How to Use the Mobile Alarm Feature
The Mobile Alarm feature allows you to receive alarms on your mobile phone even when the screen is turned off. This feature is essential for using Pomofocus on your phone. (* Currently, the alarm sound is not supported on iOS.)
You can also use this feature as a cross-device alarm, which means you can receive an alarm on your phone when the Pomodoro or break round is finished on your PC.
Here's how to enable this feature:

1. Create an Account on Pomofocus

First, you need to create an account on Pomofocus. You can do this by clicking the "Log in" button on the top right.

2. Add Pomofocus to Your Home Screen

Next, you need to add Pomofocus to your home screen. This is a one-time setup. To do this, open the Pomofocus app on your mobile phone and then click the "Add to Home Screen" button on your browser.

3. Register Your Device in Pomofocus Settings

Go to the "Settings" page and click the "Add this device" button on the "Mobile Alarm" section. You will see the "Allow Notification" prompt, click "Allow".

4. Select the Alarm Type

You can choose the alarm type between "Pomodoro", "Breaks", "Both", and "None". For example, if you choose "Breaks", you will get an alarm only when a short/long break ends. If you choose "Both", you will get an alarm when both pomodoro and breaks ends.

How to use Webhook integration

What is Webhook?

Webhook is a way to send event data from Pomofocus to other applications. For example, you can send the timer start/stop events to messaging apps like Slack and update your status there. Or, you can send the events to time tracking apps like Toggl for more advanced reports.

How to make it work

To make it work, you need to create a webhook URL in the application to which you want to send the data. If you are not sure about the application you want to connect to, you can visit a service like Zapier, Make, or IFTTT and choose from the various applications listed there. Then, copy the generated URL and paste it into the Webhook URL field in Pomofocus settings.

An online Pomodoro Timer to boost your productivity

What is Pomofocus?

Pomofocus is a customizable pomodoro timer that works on desktop & mobile browser. The aim of this app is to help you focus on any task you are working on, such as study, writing, or coding. This app is inspired by Pomodoro Technique which is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo.

What is Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is created by Francesco Cirillo for a more productive way to work and study. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a pomodoro, from the Italian word for 'tomato', after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student. - Wikipedia

How to use the Pomodoro Timer?

  1. Add tasks to work on today
  2. Set estimate pomodoros (1 = 25min of work) for each tasks
  3. Select a task to work on
  4. Start timer and focus on the task for 25 minutes
  5. Take a break for 5 minutes when the alarm ring
  6. Iterate 3-5 until you finish the tasks
